Parks & Property Asset Manager
Do you have a passion for local community facilities? The Stratford District Council is currently seeking a manager to oversee the management of our parks and properties to ensure they are fit for our residents' use and enjoyment.
This position will oversee lease management, administration and legal matters affecting Council parks and properties including the Council-owned dairy farm. It will be responsible for providing property advice to all Council staff and Elected Members as well as having developing and maintaining the Parks and Property Asset Management Plans.
This is a permanent, full time position which will include the:
- Development and maintenance of strategies and asset management plans
- Management of all property related transactions e.g. lease, acquisition of land and disposal of land
- Contract Management and administration of Council's parks and property portfolio
- Supervision and support of a small team
- Delivery of renewal and enhancement projects in a timely manner
The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in the Property/Parks and Reserves field, and will preferably have experience in Property/Parks and Reserves management with a clear understanding of the relevant acts such as the Reserves Act 1977, Resource Management Act 1991, Property Law Act 2007, Local Government 2002, Local Government Act 1974, Health and Safety Act 2015, and the Public Works Act 1981. Local Government experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
