Pool Lifeguards
About the Role
The Stratford District Council is looking for Casual and Part time Pool Lifeguards to ensure the safe operation of our facility.
We are currently welcoming applications from both qualified and unqualified lifeguards.
Positions will work on a roster system and will include weekend hours. Part time positions will have a minimum set hours per week and work on a roster system. Casual positions will be as an on-call/as required basis.
Lifeguards will contribute towards a motivated and positive team, supervision of the facility, excellent customer service and conducting pool water tests and facility cleaning.

These positions will be located at the Wai O Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford. The salary range for qualified lifeguards is $23.50 - $30.68 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications.

About You
You will possess excellent communication skills and be committed to ensuring our customers have a safe and enjoyable visit to our complex. You will have a positive, friendly can-do attitude and thrive working as part of a time and as an individual.
You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of the aquatic functions.
A swim test will be included in the interview process.
All Aquatic Services roles are subject to a police reference check under the Vulnerable Children's Act 2014.
Qualified Applicants will hold the following:
- Pool Lifeguard Certification
- A current First Aid certificate
- Water Treatment Certification
