About the Role

The opportunity to merge your skills in engineering, policy management and administrative is here! Stratford District Council is seeking an enthusiastic, detailed-oriented Assets Officer to join our dedicated Assets Department.

This role is a part time role (30 hours per week) on a fixed term contract through to 2 October 2026. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 (FTE) per annum, with the starting rate dependent on the skills and experience you bring to the role.

As an Assets Officer, you'll be responsible for overseeing a range of administrative functions within our high performing and close knit team. The work is varied and engaging ranging from maintaining asset management documentation, supporting data collation and analysis, and contributing to strategic and operational planning, to providing support with contract administration and general departmental coordination. You'll also be involved in supporting across key projects, tender processes, contract management, and communications planning.

About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with a background in engineering, policy development, and/or administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management or related fields, with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
